The Writing Center helps children...

 

   Practice writing stories and letters.

  Make their own books.

  Develop their fine motor skills

  Writing activities help them with organization and expression of thoughts.

Writing activities help them with language and the meaningfulness and utility 

         of print.

 

  

When the children write labels, words, signs, names, that they can see in the room, they are practicing their early writing skills and also their penmanship.
