The
largest fish is the whale shark, which grows to more than 50
feet in length. There are more than 20,000 identified species of fish. The average discharge from an electric eel is 350 volts of electricity, but as much as 650 volts The most poisonous fish is the stonefish. It's poison is powerful enough to kill a human. The slowest fish is the seahorse which travels at 0.01 mph The male seahorse carries the eggs in his pouch until they hatch. Fish are the largest group of vertebrates. Many fish use camouflage, protective coloration, and poisonous spines as self-defense.
