Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

The first one said, "Oh my, it's getting late."

The second one said, "There are witches in the air."

The third one said, "But we don't care."

The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run."

The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun."

"OOOOOOOOOO," went the wind

 and out went the light.

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

Pumpkin, Pumpkin

Pumpkin, Pumpkin,
Sitting on the wall.
Pumpkin, Pumpkin,
Tip and fall.
pumpkin, Pumpkin,
Rolling down the street.
Pumpkin, Pumpkin,
Good to eat!!

Jack-O-Faces

A Nellie Edge "I Can Read Book"

www.nellieedge.com

This is Jack-O-Happy.
This is Jack-O-Sad.
Now you see him sleepy.
Now you see him mad.
This is Jack in pieces small,
But in a pie he's best of all!

Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater

Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater

Had a wife and couldn't keep her.

He put her in a pumpkin shell

And there he kept her very well.

My Pumpkin

Here's my orange pumpkin (have hands outspread)
Big and fat and round (make circle with hands)
It's the very best one (hold up one finger)
I could find downtown (point in that direction)
Now I need to make a nose ("cut" nose on your face)
A mouth...some eyes (circle eyes like glasses)
Or mother will use it (motion to remove)
To cook and bake some pies (act like stirring)

Pumpkin Songs

Ten Little Pumpkins

(tune: Ten Little Indians)

One little, two little, three little pumpkins

Four little, five little, six little pumpkins

Seven little, eight little, nine little pumpkins

Ten little pumpkins growing in a patch.

Ten little, nine little, eight little pumpkins

Seven little six little, five little pumpkins

Four little, three little, two little pumpkins

One pumpkin growing in a patch!

Pumpkin Song

(tune: Have you ever seen a lassie?)

Have you ever seen a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin,
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, that grows on a vine?
A round one, a tall one, a bumpy one, a squashed one.
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, that grows on a vine?

Mr. Pumpkin

(tune: Where is thumbkin)

Mr. Pumpkin,
Mr. Pumpkin,
Round and fat.
Round and fat.
Harvest time is coming.
Harvest time is coming.
Yum, yum, yum.
That is that!

The Pumpkins Are Here

Tune:  The Farmer in the Dell  The pumpkins are here; the pumpkins are there.  The pumpkins, the pumpkins are everywhere. The pumpkins are up; the pumpkins are down.  The pumpkins, the pumpkins are all around. The pumpkins are in; the pumpkins are out.  The pumpkins, the pumpkins are all about.  The pumpkins are low; the pumpkins are high.  The pumpkins, the pumpkins all say, "Goodbye!"

We are Pumpkins
Tune:  Mary Had a Little Lamb

We are pumpkins, big and round,
big and round, big and round
We are pumpkins, big and round
Seated on the ground.

Vegetables

(tune: Mary had a little lamb)

We are pumpkins, big and round,
Big and round, big and round.
We are pumpkins, big and round,
Seated on the ground.

We are string beans green and fine.....growing on a vine.
We are onions round and white....we make soup taste right.
We are carrots, orange and long...help us sing the song.
We are cabbage green or red....see our funny head.
We are corn stalks tall and straight...don't we just taste great
!
